Winners of Beijing's Best Burger in 2020, Side Street offered an understatedly glamorous NYE bash. With a good priced free flow (including cocktails, beer, and obviously Prosecco), 2 DJs and a great menu to order from, why would I not have gone!?
NYE in our school (yes, I'm a teacher by day) meant we were working a half day, so definitely needed to do something chilled but fun in the night. The perfect solution was Side Street. Chilled enough for those who wanted to not "party" but still celebrate, DJs and free flow in a great location for those who wanted to continue the party around the hutongs. At only 230RMB per person for free flow, it was a steal! Food was ordered separately to the free flow price, BUT as Side Street is very reasonably priced, this was no issue.
A large group of us from work attended. Ordered our food which can be customised (EPIC!!) and drinks which both arrived in great timing for a busy venue. We were thankful we reserved a table in advance as the queues started forming rather early! We were permitted to keep our table as the night continued as we were a large group and had pre paid for NYE AND kept ordering snacks.
Between us, over the night we feasted on: Cholo burgers, Chicken Buffalo burgers, KO burgers, Cauliflower Manchurian, BBQ and Buffalo Chicken bites, Nachos, and Fries.
Perfect NYE don't come around very often, but when they do, it's usually down to the choice of venue and who you surround yourself with.
